Short Bio
Shweta was born and raised in India, where she completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy before continuing her advanced training in rehabilitation and physical therapy. She later earned her Master of Health Sciences in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis and has since built her career around helping adults and older adults move better, feel stronger, and maintain their independence through rehabilitation.
Shweta has worked across outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, senior living, and academic settings, caring for individuals with a wide range of mobility and functional challenges. Throughout her career, she has developed a special interest in healthy aging, balance and falls prevention, Parkinson’s disease, Vestibular rehabilitation, and restoring confidence with movement. She is especially passionate about helping older adults stay active, safe, and independent while improving quality of life in ways that feel practical and personal to each individual.
Her approach to care combines evidence-based treatment with compassion, education, and a deep understanding of each patient’s goals and daily routines. She believes rehabilitation works best when patients feel heard, encouraged, and actively involved in their care.
In addition to clinical practice, Shweta serves as clinical adjunct faculty member in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring future physical therapists. She has also contributed to professional publications and clinical resources in areas including Oncology rehabilitation, Osteoporosis management, and geriatric balance assessment. She remains actively involved in professional leadership through the American Physical Therapy Association and is committed to continued learning and advancing rehabilitation care for older adults.
Outside of work, Shweta enjoys spending time with her family, music, exploring new ideas, and learning through both healthcare and creative pursuits. She values connection, lifelong learning, and bringing warmth and intention into both her professional and personal life.
